March 19th - Work Party RecapAs the week comes to a close we wanted to take a moment to capture and share a little about the work party last weekend.Altogether 31 volunteers showed up, and together we logged over 250 volunteer hours which will be used to maintain/expand the funding of Walker Valley ORV Park. Some of the highlight projects are:I5- Installed 2 new water bars at South end- Minor trailbed adjustment to reduce maintenance.- Filled a sink hole- Removed a parallel log that posed a threat to ankles, especially small bikes.Webfoot- Prepped large stump to be cut w/chainsaw so it isn't sticking into trail- Filled in many long ruts / braking bumps.SMC- Installed a large water bar in the west most section.Curt's Conundrum- Built up trail bed over new culvert in lower Curt's- Rebuilt lower edge of trail on first switchback @ sloped rock face. All these four trails had drain maintenance and brushing performed on them.We want to give a special thanks to @woodscoffee for donating coffee for our volunteers. We are so grateful to the Walker Valley Riders and their families who came out to give back to Walker Valley. Thank you.Over the next couple of weeks we will be highlighting various projects that we're accomplished, and announcing plans for the next work party. We hope you'll follow along and join us next time! #skagitmotorcycleclub #walkervalley #trailriding #trailstewardship #walkerworkday2023 #makewalkergreat #dirtbikelife ... See MoreSee Less
